Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party results provider. Brazos County Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatically Collected Information
Hosting services create normal server logs, such as an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review aggregated data to maintain the service and understand general use. Cookies or comparable tools can support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate and troubleshoot the service, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and Texas records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. The privacy practices of those destinations govern information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Providers that host or support the service may process server-log data for us. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or member profiles maintained by this service.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a service retains. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act may provide rights for eligible requests, subject to its scope and exemptions. Because this service keeps very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and server logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Texas, Brazos County, or city custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the office that holds them.
Policy Changes
Updates to this policy will be posted here. Continued use after a posted update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
